The Ormskirk Ladies Group was founded in 1997 for the wives, widows and partners of Freemasons in the Ormskirk Group. We meet once a month from September to May (except for December) at the Ormskirk Masonic Hall, Park Road, Ormskirk, on the third Tuesday of the month at 7pm for 7.15pm. The membership now includes friends of members who attend on a regular basis.
Meetings consist of a two course meal followed by a guest speaker. Talks have covered a wide range of topics including Therapy dogs, Chelsea Flower Show, Tales of a Scullery Maid, The Man who shod War Horses and musical entertainment. Our Sunday Lunch has become a very popular annual event with an invitation extended to family and friends. We also hold the occasional Afternoon Tea.
In November 2018 we supported and were very much involved in the organisation of the first Ormskirk Group Christmas Fayre which proved a huge success.
Through the generosity of the membership we are rightly proud of our charitable giving raised solely from the proceeds of raffles. In April 2019 at the Annual General Meeting £1,000 was donated to local and national charities; a further £350 was donated throughout the year at our meetings.
Membership is only £5 a year and we warmly welcome any lady with connections to the Ormskirk and Bootle Group of Lodges and Chapters who would like to become a member.
We have a very dedicated and active committee who work tirelessly to ensure the continued success and friendship of the group. For further information please contact:
