The Ormskirk Ladies Group was founded in 1997 for the wives, widows and partners of Masons in the Ormskirk and District Group. The ladies meet once a month from September to May, at the Ormskirk Masonic Hall usually on the third Tuesday of the month at 7pm for 7.15pm. The membership has recently been widened to include friends of members who attend on a regular basis.
The evening consists of a two course meal followed by a speaker. Over the years the ladies have been enthralled by a wide range of subjects and interests, which have included local history, underwear through the ages, reflex therapy, speakers from local and national charities and many other interesting topics.
In addition to the very varied programme the committee have organised theatre outings, visits to local places of interest; and with families and friends in mind, yearly Sunday lunches and the occasional afternoon tea.
Through the generosity of the membership the group are rightly proud of their charitable giving raised solely from the proceeds of their raffles.
Any lady with connections to the Ormskirk Group of Lodges and Chapters who would like to become a member would be warmly welcomed.
